アジアを代表するシェフのひとりである大阪「La Cime」高田裕介シェフが、料理人としてではなく、アーティストとして芸術祭に参画します。料理人はクリエイターであるにも関わらず、芸術祭や美術館でコンテンポラリーアートの文脈の作品を発表する機会は、世界でもごく少数の例外を除いて存在しませんでした。料理人もまた、固有の言語でステートメントを発信するアーティストでありうることを、この作品は証明しようとします。主題となるのは、「香り」。会期中、アーツ前橋にてご覧いただけます。

Chef Yusuke Takada of La Cime in Osaka, one of Asia’s leading culinary figures, joins the festival not as a chef, but as an artist. Despite being creators in every sense, chefs have had almost no opportunity to present work within the context of contemporary art at a festival or museum — with only a handful of exceptions worldwide. This installation is an attempt to prove that a chef, too, can be an artist who speaks in a language of their own. Its subject: scent. On view throughout the festival at Arts Maebashi.
