The 1st Maebashi Biennale 2026 brings together approximately 70 artists and groups from Japan and abroad, transforming the city itself into a stage for art. This official guided tour is led by Program Director Takenori Miyamoto and Secretary-General Kaoru Hashimoto.
Over the course of two and a half hours, the tour takes participants through the artworks and architecture featured in the 1st Maebashi Biennale 2026, introducing the city’s history and its present-day landscape ten years after the formulation of “Mebuku.” More than simply viewing art, the tour offers an engaging and participatory way to experience the Biennale.
