前橋国際芸術祭2026のボランティア組織の名称が、「THE BRICK CLUB（ザ・ブリック・クラブ）」に決定しました。名称は、ボランティア説明会・交流会で参加者の皆さまからいただいたアイデアをもとに、事務局で検討を重ねて決定したものです。
本芸術祭は今後もビエンナーレとして継続していくプロジェクトであることから、「めぶく。」のその先を見据えた、新たな歩みを象徴する名称としました。「THE BRICK CLUB」は、「（赤）煉瓦クラブ」を意味します。中心市街地の再生と、これから育っていく前橋国際芸術祭の定着を目指し、その象徴である「BRICK（煉瓦）」を一つひとつ積み重ねるように、社会貢献の思いを持つボランティアの皆さまとともに歩んでいきたいという思いを込めています。

「THE BRICK CLUB」では、芸術祭の開幕前から会期中まで、さまざまな活動を予定しています。
開幕までの期間は、アーティストやスタッフによる作品制作・搬入のサポートをはじめ、展示会場の事前整備などを行います。本芸術祭は再開発地域を開催エリアとしているため、空きビルの片付けなど、作品を展示する前の環境整備も大切な活動の一つです。
芸術祭の開催期間中は、全国各地から訪れる来場者の案内や作品解説、まち歩きツアーのアテンド、展示作品のメンテナンス、子どもたちを対象としたスクールプログラムの補助、バリアフリー対応など、多岐にわたる活動を予定しています。

As the Maebashi Biennale 2026 is an ongoing project that will continue as a biennale, the name symbolizes a new step toward the future beyond ‘Mebuku.’
“THE BRICK CLUB” takes its name from brick, a key material in the revitalization of Maebashi’s city center. It expresses our hope of building the future of the Biennale together with volunteers who share a commitment to supporting the community. Just as bricks are laid one by one, we hope to revitalize the city center while supporting the continued growth and long-term development of the Maebashi Biennale.

“THE BRICK CLUB” members will take part in a wide range of activities, from the preparation period through the Biennale itself.
Before the Biennale opens, volunteers will support artists and staff with artwork production and installation, as well as help prepare the exhibition venues. Because many of the Biennale sites are located within redevelopment areas, preparing the spaces before artworks are installed, including clearing out vacant buildings, is also an important part of the volunteer activities.
During the Biennale, volunteers will welcome visitors from across Japan by providing information about the artworks and assisting with guided walking tours of the city. They will also support the operation of the Biennale by helping maintain exhibited works, assisting with school programs for children, and contributing to accessibility initiatives.
