2026年5月25日（月）、「第一回 前橋国際芸術祭2026」の記者発表会を開催しました。
本芸術祭実行委員長・田中仁、アンバサダー・和田彩花等が登壇し、「第一回 前橋国際芸術祭2026」のアーティスト・プログラムの全容を発表いたしました。

本芸術祭は2016年に前橋市が策定したまちづくりビジョン〈めぶく。〉を起点に、⺠間主導で進められてきた都市再⽣のプロセスに呼応しながら、アートを通じて前橋の現在地と未来像を描き出す、２年に⼀度（ビエンナーレ形式）の国際芸術祭です。
記念すべき第⼀回の開催テーマは「めぶく。Where good things grow.」。現代アートにとどまらず、建築・⾳楽・詩・演劇・⾷など、多彩な領域から70組のアーティストを招聘し、さらに地元・前橋のクリエイターと連携する20以上のプログラムを実施いたします。今後も本サイトや、Instagram、Facebookなどの各種SNSで情報発信していきますので、最新情報をチェックしていただけますと幸いです。

On Monday, May 25, 2026, the press conference for Maebashi Biennale 2026 was held. Executive Committee Chair Hitoshi Tanaka, Ambassador Ayaka Wada, and other speakers took the stage. At the conference, the full artist and program lineup for Maebashi Biennale 2026 was unveiled. Details announced at the press conference are available in the press release and conference materials. Maebashi Biennale 2026 is a biennial international art festival that responds to the ongoing urban regeneration process driven by private-sector initiatives in dialogue with “Mebuku.,” the city vision established by Maebashi in 2016. Through art, the Biennale seeks to reflect both the city’s present landscape and its future possibilities. The theme for this landmark first edition is “Mebuku. Where good things grow.” Extending beyond contemporary art, the Biennale brings together architecture, music, poetry, theatre, food, and other creative fields, and will welcome 70 participating artists and collectives. In addition, more than 20 collaborative programs will be developed in partnership with creators based in Maebashi.
