郷土料理は今、世界中から加速度的に消えつつあります。調理の手間、食材の入手困難、そして現代人の味覚との乖離がその主な要因です。前橋食景は、前橋・群馬ならではの食文化を再発見し、次世代へ受け継ぐための問いです。市内の飲食店が郷土料理からインスピレーションを得た料理を会期中に提供しています。忠実な再現から独自の解釈を加えた一皿まで、店それぞれの答えをぜひ食べ歩いてみてください。この土地ならではの食文化との、新しい出会いが待っています。

Regional cuisine is disappearing around the world at an accelerating pace — a consequence of labor-intensive preparation, difficulty sourcing ingredients, and a growing disconnect from modern palates. Maebashi Foodscapes pose a question: how can Maebashi and Gunma’s regional food culture be rediscovered and passed on to the next generation? Restaurants across the city will serve dishes inspired by regional cuisine throughout the festival — from faithful recreations to original interpretations. We invite you to explore the city on foot and taste each restaurant’s answer to that question, and to discover this region’s food culture anew.
